About the role Hi, my name is Diep N, VP, Finance at Customer.io , and I'm looking for a Global Controller to take the close, the books, and our control environment and make them theirs. We're a global, remote-first, private company built on subscription and usage-based revenue, and as we grow we need a controller who can lead the team already in place and sharpen the fundamentals. You'll lead a team of ~7, growing, across revenue accounting, close, AP/AR, payroll, and treasury, and partner closely with me and, given our CFO's broad remit, with stakeholders across Sales, Legal, IT, HR, and Engineering. What you'll do Lead monthly and quarterly close, GL, AP/AR, payroll, and account reconciliations, delivering accurate, timely US GAAP financials. Close currently runs ~10 business days; get us to 6-8 days within your first 12 months, with fewer post-close adjustments and aged reconciliations. Own revenue accounting and serve as our technical accounting authority on subscription and usage-based revenue recognition (ASC 606), including the ARR-to-GAAP bridge: reconciling ARR, billings, deferred revenue, contract assets, and usage true-ups to reported revenue, and explaining the delta to leadership and the board in plain terms. Author technical accounting position memos on contract modifications, SSP allocation, variable consideration, and capitalized contract costs, the work that makes "technical accounting authority" real. Own equity compensation accounting (ASC 718): grant accuracy, 409A timing, expense, modifications, and cap-table integrity, in partnership with stock plan administration. Manage
